Request the VIN, build sheet, option codes, photographs of the engine bay and rear transaxle, wheel markings, grilles, badges, headliner, tables, rear controls, and seat switches. Confirm that it is the dry-sump DuoSelect model, not the later F136UC Automatica Executive GT.
Review invoices for annual service, clutch work, hydraulic components, diagnostic setup, cooling repairs, suspension arms, dampers, brake service, tires, batteries, and rear-cabin repairs. Mileage should align with inspection records and wear on the steering wheel, pedals, seat bolsters, switches, and door hardware.
Use a specialist inspection sequence:

The Executive GT occupies a distinctive niche: it is the luxurious early Quattroporte that still carries Maserati’s rear-transaxle experiment.
